Stuffed Cabbage Leaves {in Egg-Lemon Sauce}

Or lahanodolmades as we call them in Greek!

This is a delicious dish, albeit slightly time-consuming. Certainly not your after-work dinner. But definitely your weekend lunch!

The cabbage leaves are stuffed with ground meat and rice and served in avgolemono, an egg-lemon sauce used in several different dishes in Greece, including many soups.

Hamburger with Caramelized Onions and Oven “Fried” Potatoes – {Plus the View from my Window}

A few days ago I posted a photo of the burger and potatoes I prepared for football night.

When I took the photo I had not tasted the burger or the potatoes yet.

But then I did. And it was SO good. We devoured the whole thing long before the first 15min of the game had passed…

Soutzoukakia {Meatballs with Cumin, in Tomato Sauce}

Usually, I’m posting recipes from a back-up.

I simply do not have the required time to cook or bake every day. My real job is happening. And then, my 3-4h of eat-clean-rest-sleep are happening.

Anywayyyy, the thing is: Today I’m posting live! Like, I’m actually writing this before the final photos are shot! The food is cooked in the pot, steaming, waiting to be devoured by a satisfied couple. 🙂

And what did I cook? Soutzoukakia! AKA beef meatballs with generous amount of cumin, served in tomato sauce. The recipe varies a bit from the hard-core traditional you can find in the web, but that’s the variation my mother taught me. And we like it!
