The cookie monsters are back!
And this is very true, considering the time a batch of cookies lasted in our home: 3 days. 2 people.
Testament to how awesome they were!
This was the first time I tried browning the butter. I was always thinking that it cannot make such a big difference. Boy, was I wrong!
It definitely makes a difference! The taste and smell are incredible!
Time for dessert! Or breakfast
Serving today: Chocolate chip banana muffins! There’s no denial chocolate is to banana what a glove is to a hand. Perfect combination!
And those muffins are fluffy and delicious!
And really, very simple to bake!
What do you do when you have a bucket full of walnuts and no plans to just eat them?
You make a pie.
A very easy, very decadent pie, with great walnut and chocolate taste.
Did I mention it is soaked in syrup? Yes. It. Is.
It seems (and probably is) like ages since my previous post, but we had a loooong (one “o” per day-off) weekend and we visited family in Switzerland.
But as I said in the previous post, we have whoopie pies today!
I only tried whoopie pies for the first time this year and I fell in love. This dessert has everything I like: you bite into soft cookie to reach a thick creamy frosting. Swoon.
Also, for the first time, I made caramel all by myself!
Do you like banana?
I don’t. Unless it’s an ice cream flavor or in THIS cake!
Quoting: “This is the best dessert you’ve ever made and one of the best I’ve ever tried!”, Pan (husband).
This is my first banana bread and I was impressed! Mashed banana can do miracles for the softness and moistness of a cake.
And melting chocolate chunks can do miracles for, well, everything!
